Freddy Moya, 54, of Wolfforth, TX, passed away April 26, 2022. Funeral arrangements are with Heartland Funeral Home of Comanche. Freddy’s funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday May 6, 2022, at Heartland’s Chapel with Bro. Bobby Davis officiating. Graveside committal will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery of Comanche. Family visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. on Thursday the 5th. Condolences to the family can be left online at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net Freddy was born August 21, 1967, in Bay City, Michigan, to Pedro and Natalie (Adams) Moya. He graduated from Comanche High School in 1988 and married in Comanche to Gail Shackelford in 1998. Freddy worked for Sky Climbers Wind Turbines and installed and performed maintenance on the units for several years. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing, loved his job, and being around friends. Freddy was baptized in San Angelo, TX. and attended a non-denominational church. Freddy is survived by spouse Gail Shackelford; children, Britnee Gerhardt and husband Ryan, Bridgette Shackelford, and Bailey Shackelford; grandchildren, Jordyn Gerhardt, Aubree Gerhardt, Jack Fernandez, Emma Fernandez, and Ryder Gerhardt; numerous nieces and nephews; brothers and sisters, Elvia Mathis and husband David, Pete Moya, and George Moya and wife Beatrice. He was preceded in death by parents Pedro Moya and Natalie Moya; brothers and sister, Joe Moya, Maria Bill, and Fidencio Moya.
