Kelly Wise Smith

Kelly Wise Smith passed away on Thursday, April 7, at the age of 90. She was at peace and surrounded by her family. Kelly was born on December 7, 1931, in Santa Anna, and grew up on her family's farm in Rockwood,Texas. She attended Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos and lived in Fort Worth and Houston before settling in Brownwood, where she lived for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by her father, Columbus Hilton Wise, her mother, Eva Birch Bryan Wise, her brother, Dr. Wesley Wise, and her beloved sister and best friend, Colleen Wise. She is survived by her daughter Nesa Smith Setzler, son Birch Smith, sisters Dolores Wise Black and Susie Wise Riley, and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, April 22nd, from 6:00 until 7:30 pm. A graveside service will be held at the Rockwood Cemetery in Coleman County on Saturday, April 23rd, at 11:00 am.
