Randall R. Fix Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Randall Ross Fix, 82, of Central Texas, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2022. A Visitation will be held with the family from 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Heartland Funeral Home. Military Graveside will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday, March 10, 2022 in the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 11463 TX-195, Killeen, TX 76542. Randall was born May 23, 1939 in Tacoma, Washington to Earl and Alice Fix. He graduated from Lincoln High School before going on to serve in the US Air Force for over 9 years. Randall enjoyed the military lifestyle so much he joined the US Army when he got out of the Air Force and served over 23 more years, completing 2 tours in the Vietnam War. He was stationed in Germany for a period of time and talked about how much he loved serving his country and how beautiful it was in Germany. Randall received numerous medals and honors while in the Military. He was a Military Police officer and after he retired, he became a Texas Police Officer in Copperas Cove, Texas for many years. Randall married Peggy Campbell on October 29, 2005 in Comfort, Texas and they enjoyed traveling the country in their RV before finding a beautiful valley they settled in at Nampa, Idaho. Randall loved to ride motorcycles and they joined a small motorcycle group that met and rode every Tuesday. He belonged to SMART, a retired military group, and they moved back to Texas in July of 2021 to be closer to family. Randall was an active member of his local Cowboy Church. Randall is survived by his beloved wife, Peggy Fix; sons, Marty Bingham and wife Debbie, Dale Bingham and wife Deb Stewart, Brian Campbell and wife Amanda; daughters, Cindy, Karen & Kristin; brothers, Dan Fix of Camarillo, CA, Les Fix of Lacey, WA; sister, Linda and husband Hauns of Cloudcroft, NM; 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and friends. Randall was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Mike Weaver.
