Veronica Brooke Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mrs. Veronica Nesbitt Brooke of Bangs passed away peacefully on June 30, 2022. Veronica was born on November 17, 1965, in Slaton, Texas to Stanley Nesbitt and Jenny Lee Kelley. Veronica graduated from Bangs High School and attended Howard Payne University. She later worked with intellectually disabled individuals. Veronica married Jeffery Brooke on April 28, 2018, in Brownwood. Together they were members of the St. John's Anglican Church. Veronica had a passion for serving individuals with special needs. Her servant's heart was large and generous. Often times, many of the individuals she worked with affectionately called her "Mama". Veronica loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She had a love for animals that was strong and passionate. Her cats, Popcorn and Louie, adored her and cuddled her as she read one of her many books. Veronica loved the Lord and devoutly followed Him all of her life. Her heart seemed to be attuned to God at all times. This was especially true in the quiet still of the mornings and while in nature in general. Veronica was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley Nesbitt and Jenny Lee Kelley. She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey; her daughter, Whitney Regan Karnes of Mason, Texas; her son, Patrick Johnson of Austin, Texas; and her grandchildren, Joleen, Victoria, and Henry along with her husband Jeff. Donations in memory of Veronica may be given to St. John's Anglican Church, Brownwood.
